Terry is one of Britain’s best-selling authors of the 21st Century and the tenth most borrowed author in British libraries in 2011. Terry’s last novel “Put out the light” won Sheffield Libraries fiction prize and was nominated for the Carnegie Medal in 2012.
Terry is a children’s author with 244 fiction and non-fiction books published in 35 years. Terry’s best known titles are the “Horrible Histories” series, which are still popular thanks to a BBC television series based on the books. There are currently around 60 titles with total sales of 25 million in 40 countries.
Terry’s “Horrible Histories” play “Barmy Britain” launched in London’s West End theatre The Garrick on 14 February 2012, while Series 5 of “Horrible Histories” launches on CBBC in late April 2013.
As a writer and presenter, Terry has several television, DVD and cinema projects in development over the next two years.
