Jane Green is one of the foremost writers of commercial fiction, known as one of the creators of the popular genre known as “chick lit”.
Now with 21 bestselling novels, including number one on the Sunday Times list and 18 New York Times Bestsellers, she has over ten million books in print, and is currently working on her memoir, Rewilding, out with Harper Collins May 2026.
She is the Agony Aunt Dear Jane in the Daily Mail, with two columns per week answering people’s problems.
For the past thirty five years she has written for numerous UK publications including the Daily Express, Daily Mail, Cosmopolitan, More Magazine, The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Sunday Times, The Independent, as well as having a column in The Lady Magazine.
Over the years she has been a regular guest on British Television daytime shows and radio/podcast, including Claudia Winkleman, Women’s Hour, The Wright Stuff, Loose Women, The One Show etc etc. In the US she was a regular guest on shows including The Today Show, CBS Morning show, the Martha Stewart Show and ABC News. She also replaced Vanessa Feltz on a radio show on GLR.
Describing herself as a “partly-trained chef”, she completed the three month culinary course at the French Culinary Institute in New York, later publishing her cookbook, Good Taste, with Penguin Random House in the US.
A regular Keynote speaker at corporate events in the US, she specialises in topics for women. Topics include: publishing/storytelling/surviving cancer/blended families/and the keys to happiness for women.
She was part of the ABC News Team, joining them as a correspondent covering Royal weddings, William to Kate, and Harry to Meghan, which included writing a book about the history of Royal weddings for ABC News.
In 2022 she co-founded and ran Emerald Audio – a podcast network in New York, producing scripted women’s fiction. She wrote and produced Rainbow Girl, and conceptualised and produced a number one podcast, Bad Influencer.
She was the Executive Producer on three movies of her books made for Lifetime Television: Tempting Fate, To Have and To Hold, and Family Pictures.
